RECIPE OF PUNJABI SAMOSA

Hello everyone!
today, I am posting the recipe of Punjabi Samosa which is an Indian dish. Samosa is available everywhere in India but each and every state has it's own unique taste. These Punjabi Samosas are little bit tangy in taste due to the dry mango powder ( aamchur) , but if you want it salty and don,t want it to be tangy than you can exclude the dry mango powder.

SAMOSAS

prep. time :- 15 minutes

cooking time :- 30 minutes

Servings :- makes 12-13 samosas

Ingredients :-

FOR COVERING

1 cup refined flour (maida)

1/2 tsp carom seeds (ajwain)

Salt to taste

2 tsp refined oil

FOR STUFFING

4-5 boiled medium potatoes

1/2 cup boiled green peas

1 tsp refined oil or mustard oil

1 tsp cumin seeds

1 inch piece chopped ginger

3-4 chopped green chillies

1 tsp red chilli powder

1 tsp dry mango powder (aamchur)

1 tsp garam masala

salt to taste

2 tsp fresh coriander leaves chopped

3 tsp chopped carrots ( optional )

2 tsp fried peanuts (optional)

Preparation :-

Mix refined flour, salt,oil and carom seeds together and mix it well, and than add water ( a little at a time) and make a stiff dough, cover it with a damp cloth and let it rest for 20 minutes.

Dough

For the filling :- 

i) Mash all the potatoes and keep it aside

ii) Heat oil in a kadhai and put chopped ginger, cumin seeds and stir for 1 to 2 minutes ,than add green chillies, red chilli powder, garam masala, and dry mango powder and stir for a minute or two. 

iii) Than add green peas into it and chopped carrots stir it for 2 minutes and than add the mashed potatoes and mix it well , after adding potatoes add fried peanuts and freshly chopped coriander leaves and put it off from the heat and keep it aside.

Filling

Method :-

i) Divide the dough into equal sized balls and keep aside.

ii) Take a ball (keep the other balls covered with damp cloth to prevent drying) and roll it out very thinly in an oval or round shape.Do not bother that it has to be perfect or so just roll it and cut into half.

iii) Keep a small bowl of water for sticking. Wet the straight side lightly with water and fold it as shown below. The straight side should overlap forming a cone shape.

                                       

iv) now we have got the cone ,( picture is below),now add 2 tsp of the filling in the cone.

v) Now wet the circumference of the cone with water lightly for sticking.

vi) Stick together and fold it. Press it and shape gently, now you get beautiful triangular shaped samosa with filling inside.Repeat the same process for the rest of the dough.

vii) Now heat sufficient oil in a kadhai or pan for deep frying. To check the oil, drop a small piece of dough into the oil, if it rises to the surface immediately than the oil is hot enough for dry frying.

viii) Now you must reduce the flame to medium and maintain the same oil temperature throughout frying. Drop 2-3 samosas into the oil gently and fry both sides until golden brown.

ix) Serve hot and crisp samosa with ketchup or green chutney.

Today, I am reviewing the shade Cranberry from Elle 18 color burst lipsticks. As we all know that elle 18 has launched their new range of cosmetics. So , I have purchased a kajal , eyeliner and a lipstick from their new range, reviews of kajal and eyeliner are coming soon.

What the company claims  :-

Swipe on your lips for that rich glossy kissable lips.

It comes in a black colored twist-up case and it is very convenient to use and I found packaging kind of cute.

- Moisturizing on the lips

Dislikes :-

- Feels a little bit heavy on the lips

- Stays for a 1 to 2 hours

- Ingredient list is not mentioned

                                                 OVERALL VERDICT

This is a nice product from elle 18 and one thing which I love about it is it's smell. It smells lovely and you can also see the cocoa butter in the middle which moisturizes your lips as cocoa butter is a natural moisturizer. I really like this shade as it has a kind of pinkish and semi metallic tone. I can't say that it's color is as same as the cranberry fruit but when you wear it, it gives a very nice pinkish coverage to the lips which I likes and it looks very natural too and it is so so affordable!b like it comes in just Rs. 100 for 4.3 ml . I mean like Rs. 100 for 4.3 ml lipstick from such brand definitely deserves a buy. 

The things which I really didn't liked were that it stays only for 1 to 2 hours or 2 to 3 hours hardly but according to the price it's fine. It feels a little bit heavy on the lips too you will have a feeling that you are wearing something on lips and ingredient list is also not mentioned which is a little bit scary for me because I am using a product without knowing it's ingredients. Anyways, according to the price it is a very nice product.

RECOMMENDATION :- Yes, this lipstick is worth a buy.

Will I repurchase it again? :- Maybe Yes, because I would like to try other shades from this range.

Packaging :- It comes in a light purple compact plastic case and is very sturdy you can easily put it in your purse or bag.It comes with a sponge applicator which is very convenient to use. 

What the company claims :-

Turn on the light for skin that looks bright ,visibly fair and shine free. It is light weight,allergy tested, oil-free, non-comedogenic, dermatologist tested and is available in 5 shades.

Shade 01 Light

Likes :-

- Very affordable for a nice product

- Evens out complexion

- Coverage is fine according to the price

- It has a very mild fragreance

- Contains SPF 26 PA++

- Packaging is very sturdy

- Easily available

Dislikes :-

- Shade selection is very low

- have to touch-ups after 2 to 3 hours

- Not apt for oily skin.

                                               OVERALL VERDICT

It is a nice product from Maybellline and is very affordable when I saw it's price just rs. 175 I immediately purchased it as Maybelline has come out with a very nice and affordable product. It does covers your  face but it you are looking for a compact which covers the blemishes too this one is not for you. This compact only makes skin brighter and a little bit fair with matte finish. It is not at all apt for oily skin because it doesn't controls shine much but it can control t for maybe 2 to 3 hours or so, anyways according to the price tag I would not complain much. It didn't broke me out which is a nice thing about this product.It has very mild fragrance which I like and it doesn't irritates my skin.It can be also used in wet form.

RECOMMENDATION :- Yes, I totally recommend it because it is a nice product according to brand and price ,you can try it.

Will I repurchase it? :- No, I will not repurchase it because it stays hardly for 2 to 3 hours and I don't like touch-ups :p

NATURALLY SOFT AND BEAUTIFUL HANDS

Hello Everyone!
Today I am posting about making hands soft and beautiful naturally. By using these tips you will not have to spend money on expensive skincare products as the below things will be easily available in your home. Hands and feet are the most vulnerable past of the body when it comes to exposure and during winters our hands and feet become too flaky and dry. For combating these problems here are some tips and remedies :-

i) At home manicure and pedicure :- Generally people go to salons for manicure and pedicure but you can easily do it at your home on your own preferences Whenever you get time just fill a tub half with warm water and put some shampoo, salt and hydrogen peroxide and put your legs in the tub for 15 minutes and than rub your feet with pumice stone, by using pumice stone each and every particle of dirt will be removed from the feet and take out your feet from the tub after washing it thoroughly from clean water, pat-dry it and apply a good moisturizer. You can do the same thing with the hands too.

ii) Drink lots of water :- Drink lots of water around 12 glasses a day and it is very beneficial for your skin, hands , feet and whole body. Water detoxifies the skin from inside and keep your body  moisturized all day long from inside.

iii) Talcum powder :- If your skin is sensitive than many types of fungal infections can happen within the space of your fingers. To take care of it one should apply a good quality talcum powder in between the fingers to keep away any kind of fungal infection.

iv) Stay protected from Sun :- Skin becomes dead due to harsh rays of sun and it also increases wrinkles and ageing process of the skin. Always protect yourself from the harmful sun rays by applying a good quality moisturizer and it you are tanned due to sun rays than just massage the affected part with a mixture of 2 glass milk combined with cinnamon, honey and almond oil it will not only remove the tan but you can store this mixture for 1 week in your fridge.

v) Massaging with oil :-  Massage your hands and with with different types of oils like lavender oil, sandalwood, rosemary oil.. You can also mix lavender and olive oil in equal proportions and massage it on hands and feet before going to sleep. You will have baby soft and smooth hands next morning. And i swear by this remedy.

How to use :-

For best results, use daily after shampoo and leave it for 2-3 minutes and than wash it off.

The packaging is quite sturdy and convenient to use. It comes in a white plastic bottle with a screw cap having and you can also press the dispenser of the product anyways you can use both ways but the latter is more good. 

Likes :-

- Very affordable and cheap according to the quality

- Exactly sufficient amount of product comes out of the dispenser.

- Packaging is nice.

- Repairs hair and make it soft, smooth and shiny

- Doesn't leaves any kind of residue 

- Smell is nice

Dislikes :-

- Till now I have no dislikes

                                                    OVERALL VERDICT

It is a lovely product from Tresemme and it does it's job very nicely. A very little amount of product is required for covering your hair and you don't have to do much effort on your hair with this product.One should definitely give it a try. It does what it's company claims. It is very affordable too like you can buy a 250 ml pack in only Rs.128 which is just so cheap relating to other high ending brands. It made my hair really soft, shiny and smooth and didn't left any kind of residue or something on my hair which mainly conditioners have done to me and it also doesn't makes your hair greasy or so.It didn't made my hair fall and it suited me very well .It is an amazing product. 

RECOMMENDATION :- Yes, I will definitely recommend it to everyone for Rs. 68, you must give it a try.

Will I repurchase it? :- Yes, definitely, I would love to buy other products from tresemme and maybe I will buy this again.
